Meeting Planner Release Notes

Release Date: October 28, 2025

• The currently selected club, term, and meeting date are now remembered for each file so the meeting you are viewing stays selected when switching between Meeting Planner files.

• Added a meeting attendees panel that lets you track which club members attended a meeting.
• Added an Open Folder menu command to the main window that lets you open the folder containing the Meeting Planner data folder.
• The main window now has a status bar that shows the filename that is open.
• Meeting Planner no longer supports importing/exporting data from/to XML files.
• Meeting Planner no longer supports a menu command for sharing Meeting Planner data on the network.

• Meeting Planner can now share its data on the network via a WCF service. Clients can consume the WCF service using a service reference or through web requests.
• A WPF version of Meeting Planner has been created. This version adds spell checking for text boxes and you can now resize panels on the main window.

• Existing club data is no longer purged when importing data. Instead, clubs being imported will be added to the database and then the database will contain all clubs that were in the database before the import plus any clubs imported from the data file.
• If a club being imported already exists in the database (more specifically, has the same name as a club already in the database), then the user must choose if the club in the database should be deleted before the club from the data file is imported. If the user chooses the “Replace” option, the existing club in the database is deleted. If the user chooses the “New Club” then a duplicate club will get added to the database.
• You can delete club officer positions again.
• Agenda text for a meeting role is now deleted when deleting a meeting role.
• Deleting of meetings now works again and a deleted meeting is now removed from the meetings combo box and another meeting is auto-selected after the data is refreshed.
• A term can now be deleted again.

• The new club member window now defaults to the new member being active.
• Users can now delete a club. Deleting a club purges all data for that club from the database.
• Users must now choose which clubs to export when exporting data.
• Club officer info is now exported before agenda information and club officer information is now imported before agenda information. This ensures that on import the officer positions get added to the database before the agenda text so that foreign key errors don’t occur when adding agenda text to the database that references a club officer position.
