Posted by Have you ever wanted to start a blog or a business? Maybe you have always wanted to pursue a hobby or start a new project. I have learned that the best time to act on an idea or dream is now. If you don’t act now, your idea may be lost or you will just continue to procrastinate and never take action.
For several months I have toyed with the idea of starting a blog. I am a professional speaker who is just starting my career. So far I have been learning how to be an effective speaker and leader as a member of Toastmasters International. I have taken on several Toastmasters leadership roles over the past 4 years and I have done several speeches as a Toastmaster. Now I want to move beyond Toastmasters to develop my career as a speaker and trainer and to move outside of my comfort zone so I can do more than just practice my skills.
This has always been a dream of mine since I first started volunteering for leadership roles as a Toastmaster, but until now it has only been a dream. Failing to act now means feeling regret later and wishing you had acted on your dream.
Today that changes.
I am now officially a blogger and this is my first post. I will be sharing my thoughts and ideas about leadership, management, public speaking, software development and training.
I look forward to blogging on these topics and to sharing what I am learning as I develop my career as a professional speaker.
Ageed. There is no better time than the present. Starting new blog needs courage and determination. Admiring.
